About Rude Ranch Animal Rescue

Rude Ranch Animal Rescue, Inc. was founded in 1997 in response to the desperate plight of abused and feral cats in the Maryland area. Our goals are to find loving, permanent homes for all adoptable animals that have been placed under our care; to provide a safe haven and rehabilitation to feral and neglected cats rescued from abusive situations; and to put an end to needless euthanasia because of pet over population.

What Rude Ranch Animal Rescue Does

bulletPet Adoptions
It is our goal to find a special home for each animal in our care. We conduct adoptions on an appointment basis. All potential adoptors must complete an adoption application and go through an interview screening process. Our goal is to ensure a long term compatible relationship for the animal and the family.
bulletFeral Cat Rescue
Our feral cat rescue program accepts cats rescued from city parks and playgrounds that are at risk of suffering violence. All cats must be sterilized, vaccinated, and tested for FeLV and FIV before entering the program.
bulletFeral Colony Management Assistance
We will aid feral cat colony caregivers with Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Release (TNVR) program advice. We can also assist with low cost spay/neuter on a case by case basis.
bulletCare for FIV Cats
We will accept FIV cats on a limited basis. All cats must be sterilized and vaccinated before admittance. A donation to cover future costs may be required.

Adopting from Rude Ranch

Rude Ranch Animal Rescue schedules all adoptions on an appointment basis. View our animals available for adoption and when you find an animal you are interested in, print and complete our adoption application. Then give us a call at 410-798-9559 or e-mail us at Adopt@RudeRanch.org for an appointment to meet the animal.

Rude Ranch Animal Rescue requires all applicants to fill out an adoption application. Each applicant will be required to participate in an adoption interview, sign an adoption contract; and contribute an adoption fee.

All animals are spayed or neutered and have received all applicable shots before leaving the shelter. In addition, all cats and kittens have been tested for Feline Immunovirus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and are negative unless otherwise noted. All dogs are tested for heartworm.

Rude Ranch Animal Rescue makes every effort to ensure the adoption process results in a successful match for the adopter and the adoptee. A full explanation will be provided if we feel the match would not be in the best interest of both parties.

Owner Give-Ups

Rude Ranch Animal Rescue realizes that sometimes you cannot keep your pet. Rude Ranch accepts pets from owners as space becomes available. The person relinquishing the pet must provide all vet records and sign a release transferring guardianship to Rude Ranch Animal Rescue. A donation may be required to cover necessary vet and care expenses. If you would like to receive additional information to help place your pet, send an email to: RanchInfo@RudeRanch.org and include "Surrender" in the subject field.
